Pemberton Place by Jay Corder

The minute I stumbled upon Pemberton Place by Jay Corder I fell in love with the house, it is so well done so much  attention as put on materials and spaces that you can sense immediately the passion the designer puts into his project.

I discovered the house while browsing through Houzz, one click led to another until I found myself on Jay Corder’s Houzz profile looking in complete awe at the first picture of Pemberton Place that caught me: the hallway.

Hall contemporary hallHow can anyone not fall in love with this hall, the floor, the bench in the niche, the rug, the curtains: I can’t stop myself! You can see why I needed to post about it, so without any more delays I give to you more pictures from Pembertone Place by Jay Corder.

Bristol Circle by Studio William Hefner

One of the things I enjoy the most is when I stumble upon an architect whose work I’ve been admiring but didn’t know it was theirs. This is exactly what happened with Studio William Hefner, I have been drooling over this dining room photo probably since I started using pinterest but couldn’t find the designer.

You can see why I became a stalker: the wood floors, the blue velvet, the mouldings but specially the antique mirrored niche. Then one day I stumbled upon Studio William Hefner‘s Houzz profile and voila I got the long-awaited answer to who was responsible for this stunning room.
The only room perfectly done isn’t the dining room, you have to see the rest of the house, so I’m featuring a couple more pictures so that you can see how well executed throughout.

Designer Spotlight – John Maniscalco Architecture

Do I have a treat for you guys today! It’s a house by John Maniscalco Architecture and I must say that I’m completely in love with the architecture and the interiors. JMA was founded in 2000, and John Maniscalco is a Cornell graduate and he oversees all phases of design and construction for JMA.

Get ready for a photobomb!

First a picture of the front of the house, that has been so well designed that you just know it has beautiful interiors just by seeing it.

I’ll start the series of images of the interiors with the bedrooms, they are so peaceful and so perfectly executed that I’ll let the photos do all the talking.

Kim Kardashian’s House

Does anybody else feel that everywhere you look something is being said about Kim Kardashian’s divorce? Today I’m posting about Kim Kardashian, yes I know you are tired of hearing about the divorce, but wait I’m posting photos of her house.

She has a 4,000 square foot Tuscan style house in Beverly Hills that has some spaces worth showing, even if you don’t like the show you can get some inspirations from these images.

There are some things I like and others I don’t but hey to each his/her own right? But no one can deny that those are some gorgeous dark wood floors that just make a beautiful contrast with all the white.

Perfect weekend retreat

I know it’s only Monday and that I must be crazy talking about a weekend retreat this early on, but when you see the pictures I have today you will understand why I fell in love with this house in Guanacaste, Costa Rica the moment I first saw it in Freshome so I thought I would share it with you.

This house was design by architect Victor Cañas and the stunning photographs are by Jordi Miralles. The architecture is perfect, the landscape, the views they all work together in a way that really appeals to me.

The first set of pictures is all about the architecture: pay closet attention to the infinity pool, the wood deck and the play on volumes and materials.

The second set of images are all about the interiors: the genius use of volumes continue throughout the inside of the house; and the mix of concrete, wood and stark white paint is just perfectly executed.

And to top it all off the best picture of them all, the one that conveys why this house is just perfect, who wouldn’t mind lounging all day in this spot?

Spotlight Fernanda Marques

Today’s post is just THE perfect space, the first time I saw these images I immediately had to learn more about the designer. Fernanda Marques is responsible for this great space, it was design for Casa Cor Sao Paolo, which for those of you who don’t know is a show house for various designers that is done once a year in many Brazilian cities, Panama, Chile, Peru, and Punta del Este .

Take a second to appreciate how much the materials selected add to the space, it was crucial in order to have this perfectly designed showcase.

If you love this space as much as I do, I recommend going over to Fernanda Marques site so that you can enjoy more examples of her work by clicking here.

My love for pavers

I really like the effect of pavers on an outdoor space, I like that you can mix it up with all types of stones or grass as you can see in the pictures.

But the main reason I love them is because you get rid of that heavy floor feeling and are able to incorporate nature with your space.
