Designer Spotlight Barrie Benson

I love to see a room with a mix of modern and traditional elements all from different periods, and that have a play on color and let me tell you that Charlotte based Barrie Benson is a master in the craft.

Today I’m showcasing Barrie Benson Interior Design‘s work, and let me tell you that browsing through her portfolio is a feast for the eyes as well as for the interior design stalker in us.

The way different textures, fabrics, colors, periods and styles are juxtaposed is pure perfection and speaks directly to me and made me a believer as soon as I saw the first image of her work.

All images are via Barrie Benson’s Residential portfolio here, and don’t forget that if you like it you can share it with your friends through our share on twitter and facebook links.

Pemberton Place by Jay Corder

The minute I stumbled upon Pemberton Place by Jay Corder I fell in love with the house, it is so well done so much  attention as put on materials and spaces that you can sense immediately the passion the designer puts into his project.

I discovered the house while browsing through Houzz, one click led to another until I found myself on Jay Corder’s Houzz profile looking in complete awe at the first picture of Pemberton Place that caught me: the hallway.

Hall contemporary hallHow can anyone not fall in love with this hall, the floor, the bench in the niche, the rug, the curtains: I can’t stop myself! You can see why I needed to post about it, so without any more delays I give to you more pictures from Pembertone Place by Jay Corder.

Bristol Circle by Studio William Hefner

One of the things I enjoy the most is when I stumble upon an architect whose work I’ve been admiring but didn’t know it was theirs. This is exactly what happened with Studio William Hefner, I have been drooling over this dining room photo probably since I started using pinterest but couldn’t find the designer.

You can see why I became a stalker: the wood floors, the blue velvet, the mouldings but specially the antique mirrored niche. Then one day I stumbled upon Studio William Hefner‘s Houzz profile and voila I got the long-awaited answer to who was responsible for this stunning room.
The only room perfectly done isn’t the dining room, you have to see the rest of the house, so I’m featuring a couple more pictures so that you can see how well executed throughout.

La Villa by Gilles & Boissier

La Villa is a stunning Parisian restaurant by Gilles & Boissier, the reason this restaurant is post worthy isn’t only because it’s absolutely stunning but mainly due to the fact that the mix of styles is perfectly executed.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s rental

Hi my name is Anna Mae and I’m a twilight fan, not precisely a Twihard but definitely a fan, probably the only person who still hasn’t seen Breaking Dawn but that can be easily fixed.

So when I saw on Perez Hilton that Rob and Kristen were selling their house I had to learn more. I followed every link in my search for more and ended up in Mossler Properties website who have the listing. The property is really stunning it’s an almost half-acre compound in Selkirk Lane in L.A.’s Bel Air neighborhood, and it’s listed for nearly $6 million, the house isn’t actually Robert and Kristen’s they recently rented it.

And now for the pictures: I’m posting images of the interiors and the exteriors which are just as stunning, when going through the eye candy make sure to pay attention at the view from the different rooms.

I think the views are what make the house, they are its number one attribute, but hey maybe someone out there is willing to pay the price just because Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rented it, who knows.

Mercato di Vetro by Mark Zeff

Today I’m sharing with you Mercato di Vetro, an eatery inspired by Italian markets designed by super talented Mark Zeff.

The way different textures work together, the classical elements and the modern elements, the red bar, the red staircase, and the detail that the colored bottles add to the bar area made me fall in love immediately with the space.

Designer Spotlight – Martha Angus

I stumbled upon Martha Angus website and immediately knew I had to post about her work, she incorporate a modern feel to her classical designs that is timeless.

I’m all for interior that feel classic and that will grow with you as your taste changes and matures and this is a perfect example of those interiors.

I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

This last picture is my particular favorite of them all: the paint color, the art over the desk, the furniture selection, and the subtle touches of color.

All pictures are via Martha Angus website, don’t forget to take a view at her portfolio.

The new bunk bed

We can all forget about the old metal, boring and lack luster bunk bed we grew up with, it’s all about built-in bunk beds now; and let me tell if I was a child again I would be begging for one.

My mind immediately goes back to the sleepovers I had with my school friends and how much fun would have been added to them just by having a built-in bunk bed like these.

Does your inner kid crave one?
